Your Privacy & How We Use Your Responses
Who we are. The Extraordinary Love Index (ELI) is offered by Riana Malia. For any privacy questions or requests, contact info@rianamalia.com.
What we collect. When you take the ELI, we collect:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, and (optionally) your phone number.
- Your assessment answers, including responses about your relationship patterns and emotional history.
- Technical information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, and the country and region you visited from.
- How you found us: campaign source, medium, and content tags (UTMs), and Meta advertising identifiers where applicable.
Legal basis. We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Because your responses include information about your relationship patterns and emotional history, which may qualify as special-category personal data, we also process that information under Article 9(2)(a) — explicit consent for special-category data. Consent is obtained via the checkbox on the ELI signup form and is recorded, versioned, and stored alongside the exact wording of the checkbox you saw. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@rianamalia.com.
How we use your data.
- To produce your personalized ELI portrait and deliver your results.
- To send you the resources and communications you have asked for.
- To improve the assessment and our work.
- To produce anonymized, aggregated research and insights (see Anonymization below).
Automated processing. Your assessment score, level, pattern, and any recommended next step are calculated automatically from your answers using a fixed scoring algorithm. This is not a legally or similarly significant automated decision (GDPR Article 22) — it is a scoring output offered for your reflection.
Where your data is stored. Your personal data is stored in the European Union (Neon Postgres, Frankfurt / eu-central-1). Some processors we use are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses, or an equivalent GDPR-recognized mechanism, depending on the processor.
Who else touches your data. We share your personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions:
- Vercel (United States) — hosts the ELI website and processes each page request.
- Neon (Germany) — stores your personal data and assessment record in the EU.
- GoHighLevel (United States) — receives your contact information as a marketing/CRM record so we can send you the results and follow-up you have consented to.
- Meta / Facebook (United States) — receives hashed identifiers only, via server-side Conversions API, for the sole purpose of measuring the performance of our advertising. Meta does not receive your assessment answers.
We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and provide a clear opt-out before doing so.
How long we keep it. We keep your personal data (name, email, phone, technical identifiers) while your relationship with us is active. If you are inactive for 36 consecutive months (no email opens, no bookings, no re-taking of the ELI, no purchases), we automatically erase your personal data. You can request erasure earlier at any time. Anonymized, aggregated research data that no longer identifies you is retained indefinitely for research and statistical purposes (GDPR Article 89), consistent with the anonymization commitment below.
Our commitment to anonymize. When we study patterns across many people who take the ELI, we first de-identify and aggregate the data. That means we remove the details that identify you and combine your answers with many others, so the result describes groups and trends, not any single person. We take reasonable steps to keep this information de-identified, we commit not to attempt to re-identify it, and we require anyone who receives it to do the same.
Aggregated insights may be used or shared. We may use, publish, or share anonymized, aggregated insights drawn from ELI responses, for example, broad trends about how women experience love and relationships, in our writing, programs, research, or partnerships. These aggregated insights do not identify you and are not your personal information.

- Correct inaccurate personal data;
- Have your personal data erased ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw your consent at any time, with no effect on the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;

Cookies and similar technologies. The ELI website uses first-party cookies and similar technologies to remember your session as you move through the assessment and to measure the performance of our advertising. See our cookie notice on the site for details.
